The following are a few tips which can be used when one is doing keyword research to find good subject matter for posts on existing blogs.
1. As a rule of thumb, the stronger the domain, the easier it is to rank for a given keyword.
A few factors which influence the strength of a domain:
a. Age (the older the domain, the stronger it is)
b. Size (the more pages the site has, indexed in search engines, the stronger it is)
c. Google Page Rank – A score between 1 and 10 which is influenced by several factors, including the site’s backlinks. Generally speaking, the higher the site’s Page Rank, the stronger it is.
